Sprains and strains
• Make cold compresses of lavender or german chamomile and keep replacing them with fresh ones until the swelling subsides and the initial level of pain has receded. Strap the joint lightly and gently to give some support overnight.
• The following day, use the naturopathic technique of applying alternate hot and cold compresses of lavender, german chamomile or roman chamomile to aid the healing process.
• Over the next few days, monitor the healing process and apply compresses and strapping for support as required.
